There are many building blocks to creating a sustainable community: good health, prospects of a decent income, a quality local environment. Joining those issues together between a myriad of different agencies in any one area takes energy and commitment: we need truly effective partnerships to build alliances for sustainable development that’s meaningful to the neighbourhoods we work with.
Groundwork is built on partnership. Our board represents a partnership between local authorities, the voluntary sector and business, and we aim to deliver all of our projects in effective partnerships with other organisations and local communities.
Partnership building is not just about meetings and we are very aware that the key to true partnership working is to implement joint projects, bid for resources together, share services as appropriate, evaluate progress and present findings, whilst maintaining an intrinsic level of professionalism in all presentation.
Our holistic approach to partnership working will be evident in all aspects of our business. Our support systems and staff must maintain integrity as a key ethic of supporting delivery internally by providing a level of challenge and support that ensures constant relationship development. We pride ourselves in providing timely communication externally with funders, partners, councillors and those affected by our potential projects and actions.
